Canadian alt rock band "WHY" had been preparing for their 3rd live concert stream and had written 5 new songs to add to their setlist with plans to record an EP to be a follow up to their recent album "Despite All Of The Darkness" (released Nov 2019). Because the band had to cancel all shows and tour plans to promote the new album. COVID 19 shut down live music. But WHY continued to do live streaming concert events with full staging. The song "Calloused Heart" was referring to the fight to keep empathy and hope alive in a calloused, tired world. With another impending shut down in Manitoba looming, the band cancelled rehearsals and all live streaming and quickly went into GREENEGG Studio in Winnipeg with their producer Steve Green and in 3 recording sessions recorded all of the bedtracks for the new song. The band then shot a video for the single remotely. It will release the same day as the song (Jan 5th 2021) .

Empathy, compassion and hope are just as contagious as despair, hate and fear . WHY hope to infect with the later. New Music for a New Year.
